This Cookie Policy explains how Building Brightmind GmbH under the brand name of SonaLux, (“we”, “us”, or “our”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies (such as local storage, tracking pixels, and web beacons) on our website www.sonalux.eu and www.sonalux.de.
As a business operating from Germany, we are fully committed to protecting your privacy in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) by your browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, enhance user experience, and provide analytical data to website operators. Under German law (Section 25 TDDDG), storing information on your device or accessing information already stored is only permitted if you have given your explicit consent, unless the technology is strictly necessary to provide the service you explicitly requested.
2. How We Use Cookies?
We categorize the cookies and trackers used on our high-end e-commerce platform into the following groups. Non-essential cookies are only activated after you have given your prior, affirmative consent via our cookie banner.
A. Strictly Necessary Cookies (Essential) These technologies are essential for the core technical operation of our website, security, and basic functions (e.g., maintaining your shopping bag contents during checkout or remembering your privacy preferences).
• Legal Basis: Technically necessary under Section 25 (2) TDDDG and Article 6 (1) (b)/(f) GDPR.
• Consent Requirement: No consent required. However, they are listed here for complete transparency.
B. Functional & Performance Cookies These cookies allow us to remember choices you make (such as your preferred currency or region) and tailor the website experience to your preferences. They also help us monitor site performance to ensure a seamless luxury browsing experience.
• Legal Basis: Explicit Consent under Section 25 (1) TDDDG and Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
• Consent Requirement: Requires prior consent.
C: Analytical & Statistics Cookies We use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics with anonymized IP) to understand how visitors interact with our boutique store, track page views, and identify areas for improvement.
• Legal Basis: Explicit Consent under Section 25 (1) TDDDG and Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
• Consent Requirement: Requires prior consent.
D. Marketing & Personalization Cookies These cookies track your browsing habits to deliver tailored content or marketing displays relevant to your aesthetic preferences across third-party platforms.
• Legal Basis: Explicit Consent under Section 25 (1) TDDDG and Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
• Consent Requirement: Requires prior consent.
3. How to Manage and Withdraw Your Consent?
You have full control over your cookie choices:
• Cookie Consent Banner & Settings: You can modify or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" or "Privacy Preferences" link located in the footer of every page on our website. This makes revoking consent as easy as granting it.
• Browser Settings: You can modify or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the "Cookie Settings" or "Privacy Preferences" Most web browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Please note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may impact the core functionality of our shop (e.g., preventing you from completing an order).
4. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We regularly review and update this Cookie Policy to reflect technical upgrades, changes in our operational tools, or adjustments to German and European legal standards. The latest version is always available directly on our website.
